Atlas de Naipes Beyond the Blog: New Formats on Instagram
When I first launched the Instagram account, the idea was to simply use it as a broadcast channel for new post announcements. However, the platform's visual format lends itself remarkably well to complementary content that doesn't quite fit the Atlas’s standard long-form layout.
Rest assured: the blog remains the home base. In-depth analyses, cataloguing, and full-resolution scans will continue to appear here exactly as always.
On Instagram, you will see more dynamic posts centered on visual details, always accompanied by a short description in both Spanish and English—except for mini-reviews, which are published in English only due to format and space constraints.
- Direct side-by-side comparisons: cards from different editions or makers set against each other, with close-ups on key areas to highlight differences in linework or color.
- Progressive zoom carousels: curated card selections that zoom in step-by-step on fine details in the printing or engraving.
- Mini-reviews: quick takes on items where I want to highlight a specific design note or historical detail, but which don’t warrant a full-length article or haven't yet been exhaustively researched. These appear in Stories, and I will keep the ten most recent readily accessible in the Highlights section.
